After carefully studying the trees in Kahn's art, we drew some trees of our own using light colored crayons. |
We made sure to color very hard, so that when we added watercolor paint on top, the waxy crayon would resist the paint. |
Students chose constrasting colors to paint the background. Contrasting colors make our trees stand out! |
We practiced blending our paint as we worked. |
